when something comes to an end, something’s bound to begin
Today is my last day in the superclerks world of Neuro rotation. We’re actually a lucky group because we didn’t get the immense load that others blocks had. Still, I didn’t sign up to be a superclerk and it still entailed a lot of time, so during the past 2 weeks, I was a little lost (outside Neuro) and not quite myself.
And so even if it is a relief to be finishing this rotation and going to what they call a holiday in MICU, I’m a bit lazy to do so. In a sense, I don’t like 2-week rotations because once you get the hang of it during your second week, you’re already shifting out. And then you’re going to another rotation that you’ll need some getting used to.
Anyway, I’m being stubborn lang. :|
Highlight of the day: my NICU patient gave me free lunch today! Jollibee Chickenjoy meal! :) I really would’ve opted that they use the money for meds or to add to the P17,000 4 vessel angiogram the patient needs to have done next week, but no gift is ever received unappreciated. :) The family’s really nice and we’re really hoping that the patient will get better soon. She was deteriorating fast in ACU, with decreasing sensorium, that’s why she was transferred to NICU. But when she got there, she’s recovering gradually and hopefully it goes on.
