ER
I went to the ER yesterday to have myself checked for a possible UTI r/o Nephrolithiasis. I was told by the nurse at the Triage that I have to be a bit patient because they had a lot of patients. Nevertheless, I was in the ER for a total of 2 hours, with the meds that I need and with the essential labs done. My labs were done really quick and I was even able to rest a bit with a nice bed and blanket. amazaing how money can do so much.
It made me think of how patient PGH patients are. Think of the time that the patients have to wait to be assessed, the time they have to wait for their labs to arrive, the time they have to wait for… everything. How much of that time did I waste? how much of that time could I have shorten had I been more efficient? :|
